[12:51:37] <Darke> Maybe they're in an IP firesale at the moment? Selling off various rights to various gamelines to outside firms? That would somewhat correlate the "We're (almost) dead, Jim" state of the company, with what their CEO is stating.

[12:56:47] <Darke> No doubt. It's more of a question whether the engine was mostly built before things fell over, and it's mostly the content required, or not. If they've got a solid engine to begin with they could pull off something impressive, if they're firefighting bugs with a half built engine, whilst trying to patch in content, they're probably screwed.

[13:07:50] <Darke> FYI, 'Sacred' is a stragely fun RPG. Very U7BGish in terms of world to search and hunt around, quests and so on, crossed with diablo2's item search&rescue, class based systems, stats and so on. Only problem is it feels too heavy on the D2 influence and too light on a real RPG.
