[18:51:33] <Marzo> KnightCaptain: by the way, sorry for the barrage of e-mails; GitHub unfortunately sends one message per comment, which means every small edit ends up seeming like a large thing
[20:01:54] <KnightCaptain> That's okay.
[20:02:45] <KnightCaptain> I'm more upset about Notepad++ or Pale Moon adding spaces when I'm editing on my system and then copying the changes up. These damn spaces are not intentional!
[20:06:27] <KnightCaptain> If I may, I'd encourage you to let some of the explanitory comments live in the new code. It may help new modders understand what the code does, lowering the barrier to entry for them.
[20:22:13] --> GitHub has joined #exult
[20:22:13] <GitHub> [exult] marzojr pushed 1 new commit to master: https://git.io/vKgIz
[20:22:13] <GitHub> exult/master b4c305f Marzo Sette Torres Junior: * Implemented feature #181 "Allow catching aborts"....
[20:22:13] <-- GitHub has left #exult
[20:23:00] <Marzo> Regarding spaces, it is possible Notepad++ is configured to use spaces instead of tabs
[20:23:10] <Marzo> There is probably a configuration that changes that somewhere
[20:33:47] <KnightCaptain> It'd odd because I typically copy/paste from N++ into GitHub and don't see that behavior when I do that for the whole file.

[20:35:24] <-- GitHub has left #exult
[20:37:09] <KnightCaptain> Marzo, I think I've made all the changes requested.
[20:37:26] <KnightCaptain> I'll certainly make any future pull requests smaller.
[20:41:50] <Marzo> I am seeing some erroneous whitespace I missed before
[20:42:30] <Marzo> Let me mark them, and it should be good
[20:44:25] <Marzo> I am sorry for being hard on you, but it really triggers my OCD
[21:01:15] <KnightCaptain> I didn't see the non-Marsten extra spaces in scroll.uc.
[21:02:12] <KnightCaptain> Marzo, have you found the exported beta usecode? I've retried extracting it but still no luck.
[21:09:27] <KnightCaptain> Changes made. I don't know how to get the Neyobi schedule parts tabbed as you had in your comment, so if you can do that bit, I'd appreciate it.
[21:39:29] <Dominus> You two have filled up my inbox today... ;)
[21:49:42] --> frob has joined #exult
[21:49:59] <Dominus> KnightCaptain: did you find the tabs vs spaces setting of notepad++? Supposedly there is one ;)
[22:11:18] <KnightCaptain> It seems I've found a bug in N++, even the latest version. Let's say I have something tab-indented, and add a new line at the start of it. It will move that text down to the next line, but does not keep the tabs, it converts them to spaces. I can fix this by using Edit -> Blank Operations -> Space to TAB (Leading) but that's not optimal behavior.
[22:11:37] <KnightCaptain> Is my other job to submit bugs to every open source program I use?
[22:13:24] <Dominus> Bah, bad bug
[22:14:04] <Dominus> And yes, once you go down the open source path that's where you end up
[22:14:35] <Dominus> And then you will often meet the usual developer response:
[22:14:49] <KnightCaptain> Linux for everyone! :) Any idea how to get the automatons in Skullcrusher to come alive? I've been blanking on it.
[22:15:08] <KnightCaptain> 'Tis not a bug, it's a feature.
[22:16:09] <Dominus> Nope, there can't be a bug there, you must have done something wrong...-> after trying many settings and it still happens, same dev: yep a bug right there - I can't explain how it ever was supposed to work
[22:17:13] <Dominus> As for those automatons... you are already much better versed in usecode than I ever was...
[22:17:40] <Dominus> Got to sleep now. Good luck ;)
[22:18:37] <KnightCaptain> Oh, thanks. I'd love to see some of the usecode from the Savage Empire and U6 remakes, but I can't imagine they'll be sharing those anytime soon.
[22:28:31] <-- frob has left IRC (Remote host closed the connection)
[22:30:10] <KnightCaptain> Bloody hell, there is a Tab Settings in N++ that defaults to "Replace by space". By the Eight Virtues, why is that ever a default?!
