[03:48:40] --> slacked has joined #exult
[03:49:01] <slacked> Hey
[03:50:19] <slacked> I was just wondering how I could ./configure with opengl, mmx and 3dnow enabled
[03:50:39] <slacked> It'd be ncie if there were some documentation concerning the different compile options
[04:11:25] --> matto has joined #exult
[04:44:31] <-- slacked has left IRC ("I like core dumps")
[05:24:29] --- Kirben2 is now known as Kirben
[05:45:24] <-- matto has left IRC ("This feeling.. inside me. Finally found my life, I'm finally free. No longer torn in two.")
[06:09:11] --- Darke|zzZ is now known as Darke
[06:10:03] --> Zxcvb has joined #exult
[06:10:28] <Zxcvb> how new is exult 0.6.4?
[06:10:38] <Zxcvb> it was just added to the ZSI
[06:10:45] <Darke> It's very old, IIRC. 2 years?
[06:10:50] <Darke> ZSI?
[06:11:21] <Zxcvb> http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=337
[06:11:39] <Zxcvb> it also uses http://exult.sourceforge.net/snapshots/2.0/exult-sfx-bg_0.4_arm.ipk
[06:12:37] <Darke> Actually, that's 1.1.x I believe, it's just the Zaraus version has a different numbering scheme.
[06:12:55] <Zxcvb> ah, so the zaurus 1.0 will be the regular 2.0?
[06:13:28] <Darke> Probably not. *grin* We really should 'sync' the numbering of them both together.
[06:13:38] <Zxcvb> yeah
[06:14:15] <Zxcvb> I wonder when someone will port exult to the GBA
[06:16:08] <Darke> About the same time it gets ported to the Dreamcast. *grin* The problem with both is the limited amount of ram. That and specifically with the GBA, the lack of someone to purchase the dev tools and licences ($$$!) to actually port it to it.
[06:17:15] <Zxcvb> flash advance and all the homebrew tools
[06:17:22] <Zxcvb> though dreamcast would be easier
[06:17:42] <Zxcvb> both linux and netbsd work on the DC, even with X using dcfb in linux
[06:18:32] * Darke nods. The only problem with the DC is memory limitations.
[06:19:57] <Zxcvb> does exult even care about the OS, as long as it has SDL?
[06:20:42] <Zxcvb> how much ram does exult need?
[06:20:45] <Zxcvb> the Z only has 32MB
[06:21:13] <Darke> Not really, no. Currently though it needs SDL, the C++ std libs and an actual standards conforming C++ compiler (so WinCE is out).
[06:21:45] <Darke> On my machine it uses about 40-50Meg. But this will depend upon compiler and compiler optimisations.
[06:23:19] <Zxcvb> Darke: RAM, or installed?
[06:23:27] <Zxcvb> Darke: if RAM, then how can the Z do it with only 32MB RAM
[06:23:47] <Darke> RAM. I've no idea. Ask artaxerxes. *grin*
[06:25:49] <Zxcvb> Darke: so it is 40-50MB installed for you?
[06:26:39] <Zxcvb> Darke: and I believe GCC is used in most homebrew GBA kits
[06:26:50] <Darke> Installed (both BG&SI) is 61Meg of hdd space.
[06:27:26] <Zxcvb> Darke: not to mention the main DC OS used is quite un*x like
[06:28:03] <Zxcvb> KOS, I think
[06:28:26] <Zxcvb> even uses the ELF format
[06:29:16] * Darke doesn't know much about it, doesn't have a DC.
[06:29:17] <Zxcvb> would have to modify the save routines to use the DC memory card, though both KOS and libdream have functions for that
