[14:01:49] <DarkeZzz> Hi.
[14:02:01] --> Fingolfin has joined #exult
[14:02:03] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Fingolfin
[14:02:06] <Colourless> hi
[14:02:17] * DarkeZzz blames MOO3 for his slowslow response time. *grin*
[14:02:21] <Fingolfin> yo
[14:02:23] <DarkeZzz> Hiya.
[14:02:26] --> Nadir has joined #exult
[14:02:26] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Nadir
[14:02:35] <DarkeZzz> 'ello.
[14:02:40] <Nadir> hi
[14:02:52] <Colourless> hi
[14:02:57] <Colourless> wtf is going on here :-)
[14:03:03] <Nadir> they enabled my fast connection at home this morning
[14:03:04] * DarkeZzz wonders why everyone spontaneously appears when he finally got around to saying 'hi' to Colourless. Is it the magical summoning word?
[14:03:13] <Nadir> it rocks
[14:03:18] <DarkeZzz> Yay! *grin*
[14:03:52] <Nadir> it is quite fast :)
[14:04:03] <Colourless> i'm glad you are basking in the glory of broadband... just stop gloating
[14:04:19] <Nadir> :)
[14:04:28] <Nadir> it's nice having fibre directly to my home
[14:04:45] <Nadir> They also installed the tv box
[14:05:55] <Colourless> fibre... why do you need that.... starting up your own telephone company are you? :-)
[14:07:59] <Nadir> 10Mbit
[14:08:15] <Nadir> that's for residential access
[14:10:11] <Colourless> :_)
[14:10:19] <Colourless> shit... broken nose :-)
[14:10:56] * DarkeZzz was about to comment Colourless' nose just *didn't* look right. *grin*
[14:11:26] <Colourless> typos can be more dangerous than you might otherwise think
[14:13:52] * DarkeZzz nodnods!
[14:15:16] * DarkeZzz notes MOO3 has an option to remind you every 30/60 minutes that that amount of time has passed, and also has another option to alarm at a particular time. No doubt these are anti-MOO-addiction devices. *grin*
[14:15:55] * Colourless adds note for pentagram... add broken reminder system just to piss off the users
[14:17:29] <DarkeZzz> And to make us look more 'socially consiensous', admitting that exult/pentagram may be addictive to some people, and giving them a way to control their addiction. *wizenod*
[14:20:14] * DarkeZzz thinks we should also add thirty-thousand different menus for maximum information overload, so all they game players do is to vegetate and let the AI handle all the dirty work too. *noddle*
[14:20:42] <Colourless> ooh yes
[14:20:53] <Colourless> might be in most inconsistent interface too
[14:24:40] <DarkeZzz> Moo3 isn't too bad with that actually. Double arrows on a button-like widget means if you click on it, it folds out a sub panel. Tabs that kinda look like tabs, function as such. Buttons do as expected, as do combo boxes and check boxes and such. Though there's a couple of screens that you really need to have a text box where you enter a SQL query into to extract the relevant information.
[14:41:28] <-- Nadir has left IRC ("I like core dumps")
[15:18:48] <Colourless> time to be off
[15:18:51] <-- Colourless has left IRC ("casts invisibility")
[15:56:39] * DarkeZzz decides that sleep would also be a worthwhile investment in his time. *grin* Night!
[18:41:50] --> Dark-Star has joined #exult
[19:52:11] --> aethyr has joined #exult
[19:53:26] <aethyr> Hi, I tried exult for the first time yesterday building from CVS. Today I updated my cvs tree to bring it into sync and a couple of files got updated, however, whereas yesterday my mouse movement in the game seemed smooth, today it seems choppy (the mouse goes back to being smooth if I bring up the menu by hitting escape). just wanted to share my experience of today's CVS.
