[13:22:38] --> m0t0ro has joined #exult
[13:22:52] <m0t0ro> hell guys
[13:23:46] <m0t0ro> hello*
[13:29:17] <m0t0ro> what's the reason there is no a Xcode ready to compile project? I mean, I know it is possible to compile Exult right straight from the terminal with the command line tools, but I wanted to explore the code and to have a list of functions and methods just like the intellisense stuff in visual studio
[13:29:57] <m0t0ro> so I made a Xcode project and added all the necessary files from the svn and now I can compile with Xcode
[13:52:28] <Dominus> M0t0ro: no one made one and I couldn't make it or made it wrong.
[13:52:57] <Dominus> Snd the autotools way was more scriptable for me
[13:53:30] <Dominus> There is one in the ios port of exult on github
[13:53:59] <Dominus> https://github.com/litchie/exult-ios/tree/master/ios
[13:55:42] <Dominus> M0t0ro: what's your interest in Exult? Aiming to do something specific or fun at tinkering with it?
[14:00:22] <m0t0ro> not sure why I've always had some interest in Exult but unfortunately not enough time to dig into the code
[14:01:24] <m0t0ro> so I guess now I just want to have some fun and try things
[14:04:04] <m0t0ro> I checked the ios port alredy but I really didn't know how to export the ios project to a console c++ based project with Xcode
[14:04:48] <m0t0ro> so I had some fun yerterday and started a new project in Xcode and imported all the necessary files and libraries
[14:13:58] <Dominus> If you happen to have an ios device you can now make Exult run on it without a paid developer account btw
[14:14:14] <Dominus> You need the xcode7 beta, though
[14:14:40] <m0t0ro> yes, that's my next goal the next week
[14:15:56] <m0t0ro> I have an ios device and I wanted to have exult on it
[14:17:03] <m0t0ro> but I still have Mavericks installed and Xcode 7 requires Yosemite I guess
[14:17:23] <Dominus> (I could also easily provision your device and send you the precompiled package ;))
[14:17:57] <m0t0ro> lol what do you mean?
[14:18:40] <Dominus> I have a paid developer account and already a couple of testers
[14:19:12] <Dominus> I only need the udid of your device
[14:19:20] <m0t0ro> I actually have an iphone and ipad
[14:19:39] <m0t0ro> so if you need an ipad tester then I'm tha man
[14:20:00] <Dominus> Anything below iphone6 is not much fun for exult
[14:20:17] <-- Kirben has left IRC ()
[14:20:24] <Dominus> Sizewise not age ;)
[14:20:31] <m0t0ro> uhhhmm
[14:21:07] <Dominus> Shoot me an email at dominus@users.sourceforge.net with your udid
[14:21:15] <m0t0ro> did anyone try it on a iphone 4s alredy?
[14:21:23] <Dominus> And I'll make a build for you
[14:21:56] <m0t0ro> sure thank you Dominus
[14:22:00] <Dominus> I have an iphone 4 and it's working but the way exult works make it hard
[14:22:21] <Dominus> All the interaction with things...
[14:23:24] <m0t0ro> yes I guess it needs a lot of cpu, I'll have a look at the code later today
[14:23:46] <Dominus> The udid can be copied in itunes in the summary tab of your device
[14:24:11] <Dominus> Click on serial number and it should change to udid and cmd-c
[14:24:58] <m0t0ro> I'm on windows at this moment and itunes not installed, I'll send you an email with my udid
[14:25:07] <Dominus> The cpu usage is not the main problem, the problem is the tiny things that need managing and are hard when the finger is almost double the size
[14:25:25] <Dominus> It's not urgent ;)
[14:25:27] <m0t0ro> ok I get it
[14:25:53] <m0t0ro> I've seen a video of a guy running exult on I can't remember what device
[14:26:06] <m0t0ro> but the finger thing was really annoying
[14:29:54] <Dominus> I tested it on a 4, 5s and 6 and it's definitely not fun below a 6 device. The 5s only adds length anyway...
[14:30:38] <Dominus> A 6+ might be a very nice way to run it. It's great on an ipad
[14:32:31] <m0t0ro> do you have an ipad tester yet?
[14:33:00] <Dominus> If the kids stop running a fever tonight, I'll do some work on the shortcut toolbar tonight
[14:33:53] <Dominus> Yes, got an ipad myself and two others are testing it as well. Litchie who did the main work has an ipad mini
[14:34:40] <Dominus> But you can still test as well, I can provision a hundred devices and over 80 slots are free ;)
[14:34:42] <m0t0ro> oh ok, I have an ipad mini also
[14:35:28] <Dominus> If you happen to be good at pixel art http://exult.sourceforge.net/forum/read.php?f=1&i=1641164&t=1641164
[14:35:40] <Dominus> ;)
[14:36:57] <Dominus> And if you really really want to see it yourself on an iphone4s I can provision that as well. With the many free slots I don't really care yet ;)
[14:38:57] <m0t0ro> haha not sure about the pixel art but who knows, maybe I can try to do something
[14:40:06] <Dominus> Yeah that's my plan as well
