[13:50:27] <Colourless> hi
[13:50:33] <Nadir> hi
[13:51:02] <wjp|work> hi
[14:34:11] <Nadir> In C++, how do I do char **x = new (char *); // This doesn't work
[14:34:31] <Colourless> remove the bracket
[14:34:34] <Colourless> s
[14:35:30] <Nadir> thx
[14:36:41] <Colourless> np
[16:36:50] <Nadir> hmm, exciting conversation today
[16:37:19] <wjp|work> :-)
[16:37:37] <Nadir> wjp|work: how's your dynamic key stuff going ?
[16:38:50] <-- Colourless has left IRC (Ping timeout for Colourless[ppp175.adelaide.on.net.au])
[16:40:08] <wjp|work> wjp|work: working on it :-)
[16:40:11] <wjp|work> oops
[16:40:46] <wjp|work> this tab completion can do weird things
[16:42:17] <wjp|work> anyway, I'm almost done with the framework. I just need to write some kind of config file parser after that.
[16:42:25] <wjp|work> oh, and come up with a nice file format
[16:43:14] <Nadir> did you check out Dominik's save game ?
[16:43:21] <wjp|work> no, not yet
[16:43:30] <wjp|work> I'm not at home right now
[16:47:24] <wjp|work> I do have a savegame somewhere where the companions are named 'stick' and all that :-)
[16:49:03] <Nadir> he has: prism, dragon, etc.
[16:54:26] <wjp|work> hehe :-)

[17:57:21] --> Colourless has joined #Exult
[17:58:25] <wjp> did you read Dominik's mail about extra exult.cfg's?
[17:58:35] <Colourless> yeah i saw it
[17:59:28] <wjp> can you reproduce it?
[18:01:00] <wjp> dinner's ready, bbl
[18:01:03] --- wjp is now known as wjp|dinner
[18:01:47] <Colourless> yes, it acts exactly as Dominik said
[18:02:04] <wjp|dinner> windows only bug?
[18:02:13] <Colourless> probably not
[18:02:20] <wjp|dinner> I can't reproduce it
[18:02:42] <wjp|dinner> *really gone now* ;-)
[18:03:27] <Colourless> well. i have exult in my u7 dir. I have si path in the exult.cfg in the u7 dir. if i run exult and choose SI any changes made get saved in a config file in the SI dir
[18:03:43] <Colourless> if that makes any sence
[18:18:55] <mattownby> and you want just one exult.cfg file instead?
[18:19:32] <Colourless> yes
[18:19:39] * mattownby nods
[18:25:16] --- wjp|dinner is now known as wjp
[18:26:58] <mattownby> wjp!!
[18:27:07] <wjp> hey Matt
[18:27:20] <mattownby> I see Dominik's been at it again =]
[18:30:13] <wjp> Colourless: hmm... the linux version always uses .exult.cfg from your homedir, AFAIK
[18:30:53] <wjp> since there's no 'default' location for the cfg file in windows, it uses the current directory instead, which changes when running SI
[18:31:03] <Colourless> that is probably why linux doesn't have the problem
[18:31:13] <wjp> we should probably modify the code not to chdir at all
[18:31:30] <Colourless> the would probably be a good idea
[18:40:32] <wjp> time for some homework... bbl
[18:41:01] <Colourless> k

[20:38:07] <Colourless> like anyone is actually going to want to use it anyway
[20:38:43] <chimera|work> :^(
[20:38:59] <Fingolfin> well
[20:39:14] <Fingolfin> oh well
[20:39:26] <Fingolfin> they wanted to make a point out of it...
[20:39:41] <Colourless> looks that way
[20:39:46] <Fingolfin> it is not actualy something "new" or "innovative" that was registerd
[20:39:56] <Fingolfin> like the "1-Click" thingy from Amazon
[20:40:04] <Fingolfin> which is not innovative, either
[20:40:12] <Fingolfin> but they sued companies for using similiar techniques.
