[03:42:06] <curiousis> Anyway I reported it.
[03:43:31] <curiousis> But you're just gonna think I'm whacko when you read it
[03:46:15] <`daniel> paste it here

[03:48:35] <curiousis> I've submitted a few weird ones yesterday and today
[03:53:06] <servus> How annoying.

[06:21:11] <ShadwChsr> hey
[06:25:08] --> Colourless has joined #Exult
[06:25:08] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Colourless
[06:25:41] <Colourless> i didn't compile exult studio support inwo 1.1Beta1 because we weren't making exult studio releases.
[06:26:30] <Colourless> additionally, same as with the 1.0 release, I didn't want future headaches with people using 1.1Beta1 + some future Exult Studio cvs version
[06:26:41] <Colourless> so, I disabled it
[06:27:35] <Colourless> plus, Exult Studio support makes exult make extra system calls per frame so disabling it makes exult 'faster'
[06:27:37] <-- Colourless has left IRC (Client Quit)
[06:28:52] <ShadwChsr> that was weird, LOL
[06:29:16] <ShadwChsr> probably for the log

[11:47:56] <sbx> you wrote the docs didnt you?
[11:47:56] <sbx> you know more than me
[11:50:17] <curiousis> O.k. Who would be best to ask questions of?
[11:58:40] <sbx> drcode
[11:58:52] <sbx> Colourless
[11:59:03] <sbx> wjp
[12:00:15] <curiousis> O.K. Thanks. I had forgotten who to bother with my incessent Studio questions
[12:00:58] <sbx> hehe
[12:00:58] <sbx> drcode has never come in here when ive been here :\
[12:01:12] <sbx> because he doesn't come in here maybe
[12:03:41] <curiousis> Next time Colourless enters, I'll have to attack with a vicous barrage of boring questions. Few questions I need to ask to finish some parts of my Docs addition
[12:04:08] --> `daniel has joined #exult
[12:06:01] <sbx> of course you can send a message to the mailing list
[12:06:15] <sbx> or post on the web forum
[12:08:10] <curiousis> I find this way ideal, I can rephrase things if I'm unclear and I can ask for clarifications

[17:01:05] <Fl00der> hi
[17:01:22] <Fl00der> Exult Team: When you Release new version of Exult :) ?
[17:01:34] <Fl00der> and new version of exult studio :) ?
[17:02:17] <wjp> did you check the download page?
[17:02:34] <Fl00der> yesterday
[17:02:40] <Fl00der> it is uptaded ?
[17:02:41] <Fl00der> :P
[17:02:45] <wjp> you may have noticed that the date behind exult studio and exult is newer now
[17:02:54] <Fl00der> oh
[17:03:00] <Fl00der> nice :P
[17:03:03] <wjp> so, yes, there's a new snapshot :-)
[17:03:08] <wjp> (thanks Kirben for that :-) )
[17:03:11] <Fl00der> :D
[17:03:13] <Fl00der> cheers
[17:05:13] <Kirben> wjp: could you fix that warning during exult studio compile ?
[17:06:39] <Fl00der> gotta go. cya
[17:06:42] <-- Fl00der has left #exult ()

[19:40:53] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Fingolfin
[19:41:01] <wjp> hi
[19:41:30] <wjp> Fingolfin: you were reading Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth too, right? You probably already know, but part 8 is out :-)
[19:41:35] <Fingolfin> yo
[19:41:47] <Colourless> hi
[19:41:49] <Fingolfin> what where when how who why?!?
[19:42:11] <wjp> part 8 (Naked Empire), at a bookstore near you, last week, the usual way, Terry Goodkind, because it was finished
[19:42:17] <Fingolfin> i.e: "What? Where do I get it? When did that happen? How did he manage to do it already? Who forgot to tell me? Why didn't I know earlier?"
[19:42:24] <Fingolfin> good =)
[19:42:34] * Fingolfin likes it how wjp answers his partial questions =)
[19:43:00] <wjp> I could've answered "where?" with "next to my bed", but that would probably be less useful to you :-)
[19:43:52] <Colourless> i am going
[19:43:55] <Colourless> cya
[19:43:56] <-- Colourless has left IRC ("casts invisibility")
[19:45:44] <Fingolfin> hrmmm
[19:46:01] <Fingolfin> well you can mail it to me when you have finished it tomrrow, right? =)
[19:46:58] <wjp> I _could_... but... :-)
[19:47:58] --> Dominus has joined #exult
[19:48:02] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Dominus
[19:48:51] <Fingolfin> what's the story ? (i.e. according to book cover)
[19:48:52] <Fingolfin> ?
[19:48:55] <Dominus> hi
[19:49:04] <Fingolfin> guess I might wait for the pocket book
[19:49:06] <Fingolfin> hiya Dominus
[19:49:09] <wjp> haven't looked yet :-)
[19:49:13] <Dominus> yeah, naked kahlan?
[19:49:36] <Dominus> nice to know there is a new one out
[19:49:54] <Fingolfin> actually I just found a brief story review on amazon
[19:49:56] <wjp> no story on the cover
[19:49:59] <wjp> k
[19:50:06] <Dominus> so we have an official beta1 release now
[19:50:11] <wjp> it would seem so :-)
[19:50:42] <Fingolfin> actually it says nothing about the story
[19:50:50] <Fingolfin> *grmbl*
[19:51:36] <wjp> let me guess... "You knew they were here, didn't you?"
[19:52:35] <Fingolfin> essentially, that's what they say about the book, following the usual mumble-jumble about the author etc.: "Now Terry Goodkind, acclaimed and superlatively gifted storyteller, delivers another thrilling novel, with all the complexity and taut characterization we've come to expect from this master of fantasy "
[19:52:39] <Fingolfin> which says,err, nothing =)
[19:52:49] <Fingolfin> 800 pages for the pocket book
[19:52:57] <Fingolfin> which is not yet released, of course <sigh>
[19:52:58] <wjp> 640 here
[19:53:13] <wjp> or 660, actually
[19:53:40] <Fingolfin> well the more expensive one, from TOR, is 28,07 Euro and 608 pages, according to amazon.de
[19:54:04] <Fingolfin> pocket book, not yet available, is smaller and has more pages (~800 they say) and only costs 12,05 Euro
[19:54:14] <wjp> I paid 25
[19:54:24] <wjp> but it is the Tor version
[19:54:39] <Fingolfin> there is also an audio CD, BTW
[19:54:45] <wjp> :-)
[20:58:31] <Dominus> and wjp: I DO think we need to have the notice of the mirror page/not using download managers very large and red and blinking
[21:03:25] <wjp> make it blink and I'll have to kill you :-)
[21:04:54] <Dominus> I'm amazed of how few people take the time to read ANYTHING
[21:06:07] <Dominus> btw, Colourless, don't know if that is already done, but I think Kirben could need the installation script (or whatever) so he can include sdl_mixer.dll in his snapshot as well
[21:06:51] <Dominus> (the only reason I didn't include THAT into the faq : why does 1.1.x complain about a missing dll?)
[21:08:07] <Dominus> I could imagine the horror if we were a commercial company with a support hotline....
[21:09:20] <wjp> I'd expect we'd have changed a few things :-)
[21:09:32] <Dominus> actually it would be no horror because after the first free call the next support calls would cost big bucks
[21:12:23] <Dominus> from the Inquirer: I pulled out my calculator to see just how long it would take the RIAA to sue all 60 million P2P music file traders at a rate of 75 a day.
[21:12:32] <Dominus> 60,000,000/75 = 800,000 days to subpoena each person or 800,000 days/365 days in a year = 2191.78 years to subpoena each person
[21:12:52] <wjp> yeah, I read that one :-)
[21:13:00] <Dominus> considering that the RIAA is claiming about 60,000,000 are illegally file sharing
[21:13:18] <Dominus> and good german news
[21:13:24] <wjp> I think it was the EFF that had the 60M number
[21:13:30] <Dominus> deep linking is not illegal
[21:13:36] * wjp nods; saw that one too :-)
[21:13:55] <wjp> forbidding deep linking would be really silly
[21:14:16] <Dominus> yeah some big publishers were sueing
[21:14:20] <wjp> it's pretty easy to enforce it within a webserver if you really wanted to
[21:14:43] <Dominus> if it would circumvent security systems it would be illegal
[21:15:10] <wjp> :-)
[21:15:53] <Dominus> nice to see that sometimes judges can use common sense
[21:19:09] <-- Dominus has left IRC ("enough for now")
[22:51:13] <Cahaan> "The current version supports much of the game's plot"
[22:51:20] <Cahaan> what is not currently supported ?
[22:56:40] <wjp> hm, no real specific things
[22:56:48] <wjp> just some bugs
[23:00:33] <Cahaan> okies
[23:04:06] <wjp> time to go; night
[23:04:09] <-- wjp has left IRC ("Zzzz...")
[23:23:24] <Cahaan> what's new with 1.1 ? I can't find an "added features" list on the website
