[16:09:07] --> huh has joined #gemrb
[16:10:33] <huh> hello. sorry for such basic question, but is it possible to run bg2 demo without installing it on windows? i have bg2demogs.EXE and .W02-7 files and don't know what to do with them next
[16:11:32] <huh> as gemrb want sounds, data and all standard directories that spawn after win install
[16:13:28] <huh> and i only hawve acces to bg2demo for now. bassicaly i'm asking what do i need to specify in gemrb.cfg to try bg2demo without using standart installer, there are no *cab files for unshield
[16:25:34] <huh> i don't want to spam forums
[16:29:06] <huh> also
[16:29:18] <huh> gemrb compiles with clang 3.1
[16:29:34] <huh> but with g++ 4.7 there are problems
[16:29:38] <huh> here
[16:29:45] <huh> just fwiw
[16:31:08] <huh> mostly c++11 related

[17:14:16] <lynxlynxlynx> and definitely not c++11 related problems (hah!)
[18:27:59] --> giborz has joined #gemrb
[18:31:11] <giborz> hello I have a question relating to gemrb and baldurs gate mods is this the correct place to ask?
[18:32:48] <tomprince> giborz: Sure.
[18:32:59] <tomprince> In any case, it is better to just ask your question, and then stick around.
[18:35:48] <giborz> I am running a 'megamodded
[18:36:51] <giborz> version of baldurs gate (baldurs gate trilogy and about 40 other mods at the same time) I am wondering if gemrb can support modded versions of baldurs gate
[18:37:19] <tomprince> Yes.
[18:37:27] <tomprince> It isn't tested.
[18:37:36] <tomprince> And you need to manually adjust the starting xp.
[18:38:54] <giborz> the reason I ask is because I am experiencing lag issues in game which I suspect are related to a newer computer running software designed for an old system. I have tried a number of fixes, none of which have worked.
[18:39:33] <giborz> xp - do you mean starting experience of gameplay characters?
[18:40:38] <tomprince> yes.
[18:45:41] <lynxlynxlynx> seems you already started the game, so it should be fine
[18:46:00] <lynxlynxlynx> what is likely your problem is disk access, did you use generalised biffing?
[18:46:00] <giborz> is there a resource that you know of that deals with megamod integration with gemrb, for example a list of tested mods? One mod I am running, called TOBex, opens a command prompt with the game and I can imagine running into some issues...
[18:46:11] <lynxlynxlynx> your override is fat like a whale
[18:46:18] <giborz> I did used generalized biffing
[18:46:34] <lynxlynxlynx> tobex has no effect on gemrb, but we share some functionality
[18:47:04] <giborz> I followed this guide for lag among other things: http://www.shsforums.net/topic/45299-ie-slowdownstutteringlag/
[18:48:45] <giborz> The lag is not extreme; a slight stutter when picking up items in inventory. New game, no virus software running, no large stacks of items in inventory, I've tried turning off all options, runnign in various compatability modes, running in lowest resolution possible
[18:48:55] <giborz> Just enough to be annoying
