[15:44:19] <alexander__b> so... running bgtutu...
[15:44:39] <alexander__b> it doesn't play videos in the game, and when I start the game, it plays the bg2 video. anyone know which path might be wrong?
[15:44:49] <alexander__b> I can play bg1 videos in the movie player inside of bgtutu.
[15:55:57] --> Avenger has joined #gemrb
[15:56:14] <Avenger> alexander, it is always the log, post your log!
[15:58:02] <alexander__b> Avenger: I have to go. but after I've been eating and stuff, I'll try to start a game and view the videos and post the log.
[15:59:03] <Avenger> just post it even if no one is here to answer, the channel is logged, or you can do the same on the forum

[16:46:06] <alexander__b> so ^ is my log. as said earlier, I'm running gemrb with bgtutu and getting the bg2 cinematic in the intro (before the menu), then no cinematic when starting the game. I can view bg1 cinematic with movies player inside the game.
[16:46:53] <alexander__b> gemrb is interpreting the game as bg2 (as it needs to), and therefore playing the bg2 movie... as it should... so uh, tricky.
[16:47:19] <fuzzie> so does tutu actually do anything for these movies?
[16:53:54] <edheldil> I have no idea how tutu works, to be honest
[18:08:58] <alexander__b> fuzzie: IDR, tbh. in GemRB.cfg, I've set it to bg2, so I *think* it's gemrb's "fault", since it doesn't really "know" bgtutu. iirc, bgtutu does play bg1 films correctly.
[18:09:34] <alexander__b> the only filthy hacky mess I can think of atm would be tom ake bg2's intro cinematic a symlink, and then manually change it depending on what game I want to play. but that's... silly.
[18:09:42] <fuzzie> well, I guess it's hacking the original exe and not leaving any hints
[18:09:55] <fuzzie> but I can't tell, and all the obvious links go to easytutu without any sign of explanation or notes or source code
[18:10:01] <fuzzie> I didn't look too hard, though, bit busy.
[18:10:53] <alexander__b> I've searched around a bit, and basically the only thing I can find on-line on gemrb + tutu is a bunch are some forum posts that talk about how well it works...
[18:14:08] <alexander__b> on an unrelated matter - what was the resolution for pst? I haven't played it in ages. do I need a widescreen mod? does one even exist?
[18:15:07] <fuzzie> you can apply the normal widescreen mod to pst, and then you can also apply ghostdog's UI mod for various improvements
[18:15:13] <fuzzie> but pst does *not* work well in gemrb.
[18:15:57] <alexander__b> really? that wasn't the impression I got from the gemrb site
[18:18:15] <alexander__b> the bugs section doesn't seem all that bad. what is the reason for your conclusion?
[18:19:48] <fuzzie> well the last time I paid attention, the bugs section was only that small because no-one played further..
[18:19:55] <fuzzie> but admittedly I have not been paying attention for months
[18:21:15] <alexander__b> what's the problem? is it non-playable due to a big amount of annoying small bugs, or does it just segfault? i.e. what is the problem?
[18:21:41] <fuzzie> it's non-playable due to some bugs just blocking further progress in the game
[18:22:11] <alexander__b> quest or area borkers?
[18:23:42] <fuzzie> well, what blocked me in the last run was some script issues with the main quest areas, and I imagine no-one's fixed them
[18:23:46] <fuzzie> it is somewhere on my TODO
