[08:46:09] <fuzzie> the bg2 demo is just an older version of the bg2 engine, i think we don't need any new functionality for it :)

[08:51:23] <fuzzie> fileplanet has a copy, which is just the 10-part split version in one zip file, but it installs fine with wine
[08:54:24] <fuzzie> 311mb of animation BIFs, 172mb of sound BIFs, 67mb for the GUI, 20mb of music..
[08:54:59] <fuzzie> i thought there would be useless stuff inside which i could remove to make it a usable size, but i guess it really is just a full set of bg2 beta files
[08:55:56] <fuzzie> but i was lookingat some pst code i wrote, and thinking it would be nicer to pre-load the 2das for it, and i thought the obvious place was GameData, but when i look, there is nothing in GameData.
[09:03:09] <edheldil> it's non-free data anyway, no? So what would be the point of trimming it down?
[09:05:21] <fuzzie> well, i was trying to test gemrb on some other people's machines
[09:06:18] <fuzzie> and it wouldbe nice to have some test data which i could keep on those machines to test that all the important parts of gemrb work, without using up 850mb of their disk space
