[00:12:27] <brad_a> im guessing its not possible (or wise) to have saves from all IE games in the same directory? i only have BG2 so i cant really test, but im curious if gametype can differentiate the saves on its own…

[22:45:35] <Yoshimo> i think this g3 maintenance is way too long , if i took servers down so long id loose money at work, or the more game related stuff, have people fetch their pitchforks^^
[22:46:34] <brad_a> better the forums be inaccessable than everything i guess
[22:46:48] <brad_a> as long as they fix the root issue its worth it
[22:52:26] <Yoshimo> indeed
[22:52:51] <Yoshimo> how is your font-stuff?
[22:53:24] <brad_a> havent touched it since talking to fuzzie
[22:53:34] <brad_a> been busy with school project
[22:55:27] <-- lynxlynxlynx has left IRC (Quit: No Ping reply in 180 seconds.)

[22:55:47] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to lynxlynxlynx
[23:00:00] <Yoshimo> i created the ultimate bigworld expert install, to debug it. huge task^^
[23:00:26] <brad_a> i have no idea what that is...
[23:00:53] <Yoshimo> you combine bg1 bg2 + addons, + other mods into one big giant game
[23:02:25] <brad_a> sounds like fun
[23:02:29] <brad_a> souds huge tho
[23:03:27] <-- SiENcE has left IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)
[23:04:36] <Yoshimo> depends on which mods you take, my install with all installers and temp stuff left, is 20gig, but since i installed all mods from the project its insanely difficult, you barely make it out of candlekeep alive since fights are really tough^^
[23:04:43] <Yoshimo> just for testing stuff ;9
[23:04:54] <Yoshimo> bg1 with the bg2 engine is really worth it
[23:05:20] <brad_a> why do the mods make it difficult>
[23:05:36] <brad_a> i agree tho. im playing BG in BG2 engine also
[23:06:17] <Yoshimo> because they give the creatures better spells, better ai , more health, make them hit harder, and if you have several of this kind, it gets insane
[23:07:07] <Yoshimo> http://www.shsforums.net/index.php?app=downloads&showcat=9, bigworld project ;) i'd wait for them finish updating their installer though, unless you prefer manual downloads and using the batchfile^^
[23:08:40] <Yoshimo> and avoid 1pp , or you will have some graphic issues in gemrb^^
[23:10:45] <lynxlynxlynx> this will be a nightmare to debug if you'll be using it with gemrb
[23:10:47] <brad_a> so ive heard
[23:20:25] <-- lynxlynxlynx has left IRC (Remote host closed the connection)
[23:21:58] <Yoshimo> and my install features some chinese and polish mods , so i can't read text. How important is multibyte charactersupport in GemRB on the list?
[23:23:50] <brad_a> i plan on looking at that after the TTF stuff is comitted
[23:28:11] <Yoshimo> i'd prefer dialogf.tlk as a german user ;)
[23:39:07] <-- Maighstir has left IRC (Ping timeout: 276 seconds)
[23:41:38] <brad_a> well i think i should finish rewriting the font system before moving on
[23:41:49] <brad_a> and that rewrite includes MB support
[23:42:46] <edheldil_> my NB battery has just died
[23:44:10] <brad_a> NB?
[23:44:18] <brad_a> netbook?
[23:45:12] <Yoshimo> or notebook
[23:45:34] <brad_a> is that what europeans call laptops?
[23:46:45] <edheldil_> laptops were the old big ones
[23:47:20] <brad_a> right but everybody i know calls the new skinny ones netbooks (or still call them laptops)
[23:49:47] <edheldil_> netbooks are those without DVD/CD/FD drive :)
[23:49:53] <brad_a> oh
[23:49:55] <brad_a> yes
[23:50:16] <edheldil_> for me, at least :)
