[11:02:38] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Avenger
[11:02:44] <Avenger> hello
[11:04:53] <fuzzie> hi
[11:06:00] <Avenger> fuzzie, do you know if there is any way to adjust the frame pointer midfunction?
[11:06:04] <Avenger> in ida pro ;)
[11:06:31] <Avenger> this is about iwd2, where there is no bp set in the beginning
[11:07:52] <fuzzie> 'frame pointer delta' in edit function isn't helpful?
[11:08:27] <fuzzie> if not, edit->functions->change stack pointerr
[11:09:05] <lynxlynxlynx> do you do any backups of the databases?
[11:09:15] <Avenger> midfunction,
[11:09:43] <Avenger> yes lynx, i got backups
[11:10:21] <lynxlynxlynx> not on the same disk, i hope :)
[11:10:49] <Avenger> hey lynx, what could possibly go wrong :P
[11:11:27] <Avenger> actually, one day i booted up, and the hd's head just clicked and clicked, without booting :P
[11:12:32] <Avenger> ok, i just saved them to the external hd, just to be sure
[11:13:52] <Avenger> fuzzie, how do i see the displaying of frame pointer delta?
[11:14:04] <Avenger> i mean, how do i enable it
[11:14:13] <fuzzie> under 'General' options maybe?
[11:14:40] <Avenger> aah
[11:14:42] <fuzzie> i never tried it, not crazy enough to look at things like iwd2 :)
[11:14:57] <Avenger> cool
[11:15:44] <Avenger> well, besides the stack pointer, actually iwd2 is great. It is the smallest db and the code is mostly readable, the optimisations actually help in readable code, except where it mixes up lines
[11:15:47] <fuzzie> my recent disasm expertise is in 16-bit segmentation :P
[11:16:55] <Avenger> but i really like it where it does mov [si+10],bx; mov[si+12],bx, instead of 6 lines of code just for zeroing out stuff
[11:18:32] <Avenger> whoa, this change stack pointer is available only if you display the stack pointer, no wonder i didn't see it
[11:18:38] <fuzzie> oh, hehe
[11:25:49] <Avenger> well, i knew i should come here for advice, thanks!

[16:22:38] <iPoLL> hi
[16:23:31] <iPoLL> i just checked out the sources of gemrb and i was wondering where to find the "auto-installer.sh"
[16:31:53] <Lightkey> hm.. yes, the "Getting the Installer" section in the wiki is empty
[16:35:13] <iPoLL> just did a find . -name 'auto-installer.sh' ... no result
[16:36:23] <iPoLL> does the gemrb launcher work on the current dev version?
[16:38:35] <-- edheldil_ has left IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)
[16:47:04] <Lightkey> http://git.njw.me.uk/cgit/cgit.cgi/gemrb-gameinstallers/ that should be it
[16:59:05] <iPoLL> nais thx
[16:59:44] <Lightkey> du bist willkommen
[17:01:44] <iPoLL> hehe
[17:02:01] <iPoLL> its a false friend in german :D
[17:02:20] <iPoLL> ahh u are german
[17:03:26] <Lightkey> it was deliberate :-P
[17:29:07] <barra_home> OMFG awesome talk on #gemrb
[17:32:19] <iPoLL> btw, i am new to GemRB ... so BG2 + expansion you can be played completely (playthrough) with gemrb?
[17:32:48] <iPoLL> i wouldn't want to get stuck some where
[17:33:52] <iPoLL> since the game is quiet time intensive
[17:36:19] <lynxlynxlynx> you can't
[17:36:37] <lynxlynxlynx> soa is completable, but tob isn't without some hacks
[17:39:24] <iPoLL> too bad :/
[17:39:27] <iPoLL> thx lynxlynxlynx
[17:40:59] <lynxlynxlynx> only one major bug is in the way, so it should be doable in the upcoming year
[17:42:35] <iPoLL> nais
