[14:22:52] <Miragey> Hello!
[14:22:57] <tomprince> Hello.
[14:23:57] <Miragey> Would it be okay to inquire about an issue with GemRB here? I already went through the documentation on the wiki and stuff.
[14:24:05] <Miragey> But I didn't find any answer.
[14:24:37] <tomprince> Miragey: Yes. And typically on IRC it is best to just ask your question, rather than asking to ask.
[14:24:47] <Miragey> Just trying to be polite. :)
[14:25:06] <tomprince> Not everybody is always at their computer, and so might not see your query right away.
[14:25:08] <Miragey> Basically, I'm seeing the Planescape Torment menu screen on my ipad 2 but I'm unable to select anything.
[14:25:15] <Miragey> Of course, of course
[14:25:33] <tomprince> And if you don't happen to be there when they see your ask-to-ask, they can't answer your real question.
[14:26:05] <Miragey> Good point.
[14:30:46] <Miragey> Aah, I got the keyboard to appear somehow.
[14:50:07] <Miragey> Do the GOG versions cause any issues?
[14:50:42] <tomprince> The GoG versions appear to have different paths, than is expected by GemRB, as far as I understand.
[14:54:37] <Miragey> That would explain the debug
[15:08:06] <lynxlynxlynx> gog pst is wierd
[15:08:15] <lynxlynxlynx> some bifs in /, the rest in data
[15:08:33] <lynxlynxlynx> you can try setting one of the cd paths to the gamedir
[15:08:51] <Miragey> Hmm, I see.
[15:11:44] <Miragey> I'm not sure how to do anything like that, I only know basic computer.
[15:16:06] <lynxlynxlynx> CD3
[15:16:22] <lynxlynxlynx> look at the gemrb.cfg file
[15:16:23] <Miragey> in the config file inside GemRB?
[15:18:09] <Miragey> i am now
[15:27:32] <Miragey> So I should be changing the GamePath to something else?
[15:42:08] <lynxlynxlynx> no, that should be fine
[15:42:16] <lynxlynxlynx> change one of the cd paths
[15:43:51] <Miragey> Sorry to be a bother but I don't see anywhere that says anything about cdpaths
[15:44:02] <Miragey> just gamepath, cachepath, savepath and customfontpath
[15:45:15] <tomprince> https://github.com/gemrb/gemrb/blob/master/gemrb/GemRB.cfg.sample.in
[15:45:55] <Miragey> thanks!
[15:49:18] <Miragey> oh, i see them.
[15:49:27] <Miragey> But they're windows paths.. this is an ipad 2.
[15:50:19] <Miragey> And I'm guessing GemRB is already pointed to where PST was installed
[15:50:30] <Miragey> since it was installed within the program
[15:52:09] <tomprince> Miragey: That is just a sample config that doubles as documentation.
[15:52:38] <tomprince> Clearly the details will differ, and often (but not in your case) the defaults are sufficent.
[16:52:40] <Miragey> Yeah.
[16:52:51] <Miragey> I mean, I got to the title screen and everything is fine.. just can't click anywhere.
[16:53:30] <tomprince> Is this android or iOS, I'm guessing?
[16:53:42] <Miragey> ‭iOs
[16:53:45] <Miragey> it's an ipad 2
[16:54:11] <tomprince> Hmm. brad_A isn't around right now. He's our iOS/OSX developer.
[16:54:22] <Miragey> O
[16:54:27] <Miragey> kay :)
[16:54:36] <Miragey> It's cool anyway, i'm patient.
[16:55:02] <Miragey> it's a really neat piece of software in the first place.
[16:55:45] <tomprince> Also, I don't think brad_a actually has an iOS device to test on, just the simulator.
[17:14:21] <-- Miragey has left IRC (Ping timeout: 246 seconds)
[17:33:38] <-- kida_laptop has left IRC (Read error: No route to host)
[17:35:35] --> kida_laptop has joined #gemrb
[18:19:50] --> brad_a has joined #gemrb
[18:20:21] <brad_a> fyi apparently only "windowed" mode has working touch coordinates on ios devices
[18:20:32] <brad_a> and you are correct. i have no actual device for testing
[18:21:02] <brad_a> its hard to figure out what is wrong when it works fine in the simulator :-/
[18:22:37] <brad_a> i really would appreciate it if somebody could find the time to look at this diff which contains the changes between when it worked and broke
[18:22:37] <brad_a> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13866402/sdldiff.diff
[18:23:21] <brad_a> its a pretty small diff :)
