[21:26:47] <jackhunter> hey
[21:27:19] <jackhunter> i have noticed some weird thing about a spell in baldurs gate 2, and i wanted to have your opinion
[21:27:28] <jackhunter> there is a spell,called spell deflection
[21:27:43] <jackhunter> it is said to absord a total of ten levels of spells directed at the caster
[21:27:58] <jackhunter> then, when the limit is reached, the spell fades
[21:28:25] <jackhunter> i have used spell deflection against kangax in his demi lich form, when he spams dimensionall prison, a level 9 spell
[21:28:53] <jackhunter> the spell has lasted for the whole fight, despite this spel being cast on me dozen of times
[21:29:08] <jackhunter> so is it me who didnt undertsand well how the spell works, or is the spell bugged?

[21:29:33] <Pepelka> Spell Deflection - Baldurs Gate Wiki
[21:29:34] <Pepelka> ┬╗This powerful abjuration spell causes any spells cast against the wizard to be absorbed and consumed. This affects a total of 10 spell levels. This includes spells cast from scrolls and innate spell-like abilities, but excludes the following: area effects that are not centered directly upon the wizard as well as area effects that are stationary such as Cloudkill and Stinking Cloud. As long as the spell is cast directly at the wizard it will be absorbed.
