[20:17:35] <fuzzie> http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002TOKQIG/ <- huh, since when is there a DVD release of PS:T?
[20:17:43] <fuzzie> well, i guess judging by the release date, 'since Friday'
[21:02:16] <wjp> wha, re-release of PST?
[21:08:00] <fuzzie> looks like the amazon.com third-party sellers have gotten hold of it too, it's suddenly affordable again.
[21:11:50] <wjp> I guess I should finally fix the fact that I only own one copy of PS:T :-)
[21:12:37] <fuzzie> mm, i'll have to bundle it in with my order the next time i need textbooks.
[21:24:43] <-- lynxlynxlynx has left IRC (Remote closed the connection)
[22:13:49] <Gekz> WIN
[22:13:55] <Gekz> now i have something to spend my money on :D
[22:14:03] <Gekz> when it goes back down to $10
[22:16:36] <fuzzie> mm, perhaps I can get some people to actually test pst in gemrb :)
[22:16:51] <Gekz> unlikely.
[22:36:57] <wjp> fuzzie: you've likely already seen it, but gog.com has a bunch of Creatures games since this week
[22:37:38] <fuzzie> yes, they have fixed the engines on Vista/Win7, I was impressed :)
[22:39:01] <fuzzie> that's how I found out about PS:T, actually; someone was talking about whether the re-release made it more or less likely to see PS:T on gog.com.
[22:39:45] <wjp> :-)
[22:40:28] <fuzzie> I am hoping for more, since presumably it means the rights are clear, but that might be a little optimistic.
[22:44:01] <wjp> it looks like amazon is only selling it in the UK, strangely
[22:44:30] <wjp> (or I should say, only on amazon.co.uk; they do ship to .nl)
[22:45:05] <fuzzie> well, if it was only released on Friday, perhaps amazon US are just slow. the third-party sellers on amazon US do seem to have copies, as I was saying..
[22:46:47] <wjp> yeah, could be
[22:54:15] <Maighstir> Hmm, is it normal for GemRB to continuously search for various 2da files as I move over the "add attribute" buttons in PS:T? ... I'd understand if it did that as I began to hover over the button, but for every single pixel the pointer moves?
[22:55:34] <wjp> it's not entirely unexpected in any case. 2da caching is a bit... suboptimal currently
[23:02:38] <fuzzie> From memory it's a nonexistant 2da, so no caching. It's something which was on my TODO list, anyway..
[23:02:56] <Maighstir> also, it takes a few seconds between I kill a zombie and its stuff actually falls to the ground - standing zombie disappears, wait 3-5 seconds, corpse appears
[23:03:45] <fuzzie> Meh, that was working at some point.
[23:04:00] <wjp> animation trouble?
[23:04:04] <fuzzie> The round timings are broken too, and of course the text doesn't appear.
[23:05:04] <fuzzie> Our PS:T animation support is broken in general (we don't handle any of the high-numbered stances) but the death animations *should* be good.
[23:07:14] <fuzzie> It makes some areas a bit eerie, people just standing there when they're meant to be active (casting/talking/gesturing animations).
[23:22:11] <Maighstir> also, a tip: if the "save" or "cache" directory do not exist, try to create them when they're needed (or at startup). I just now wondered why all buttons except "cancel" were grayed-out and unusable on the save screen
