[14:54:09] <Jens1112> hi
[14:58:19] <lynxlynxlynx> oj
[14:58:59] <Jens1112> did you know that there is another game with infinity engine called lionheart?
[14:59:46] <Jens1112> it is obvious you know :)
[15:14:06] <lynxlynxlynx> i don't think so, afaik it's their own engine
[15:14:20] <Jens1112> okay
[15:15:38] <lynxlynxlynx> Yeah it's true Lionheart uses Velocity Engine, Granny 3d models, anti-aliasing and converting 3d models into 2d sprites on the run it seems.
[15:15:42] <lynxlynxlynx> ^
[15:17:05] <Jens1112> thats rather interesting
[15:17:27] <Jens1112> knew it was enhanced engine but not totally new one
[15:19:05] <edheldil> Jens1112: http://lionheart.eowyn.cz
[15:19:07] <Pepelka13> Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader [Lionheart]
[15:19:20] <edheldil> lionheart does not use Infinity Engine
[15:19:37] <edheldil> and the fileformats are completely different
[15:21:10] <edheldil> except of isometric view, it has nothing in common with IE
[15:22:04] <Jens1112> it looks very nice for me
[15:25:20] <edheldil> yes, unfortunately it uses some proprietary formats from Granny3d :/
[15:26:15] <edheldil> unlike IE, it uses some 3d objects, so it's (in a sense) closer to Pillars of etternity than to IE
[16:25:37] <-- turtleman_ has left IRC (Ping timeout: 255 seconds)
[16:26:29] --> Yoshimo has joined #gemrb

[20:29:44] <Lightkey> but other than that, it is totally obvious!
[20:50:29] <DrMcCoy> edheldil_: NWN2 uses granny too :/
[20:53:15] <edheldil_> DrMcCoy: ah, xoreos?
[20:54:03] <DrMcCoy> yeah
[20:54:44] <DrMcCoy> So in the future, I'll need to RE granny
[20:55:16] <fuzzie> \o/
[20:56:08] <DrMcCoy> no, nothing \o/ about that
[20:58:50] <DrMcCoy> i've seen parts of the granny docs. iirc, it's quite flexible and freeform, and you stuff random data into all their data structures
[20:59:27] <DrMcCoy> probably a hell to follow in the disasm
[23:14:20] <-- edheldil_ has left IRC (Ping timeout: 250 seconds)
