[18:10:35] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Avenger
[18:12:42] <Avenger> i've learned something about the pst maze struct. The break down of the 1720 bytes of the maze is: 64x26 bytes (area entries), then 14 more dwords. most of these last dwords are points (either dimension or position)
[18:13:36] <Avenger> There is code to dump the maze into a file named maze1.txt, but nothing calls it :(
[18:13:53] <Avenger> maybe i'll just hijack an unused action for it
[18:16:20] <Avenger> heh, there is another one that writes a maze2.txt
[18:18:01] <edheldil> hehe
[18:19:34] <Avenger> there are 3 such functions, i don't know what's the difference, most likely they write the same thing in 3 different format
[18:33:56] <Avenger> ok, the first 2 dwords of the extra data seem to be the maze dimensions
[18:45:19] <Avenger> offset 0x10 of each area record is responsible for enabling the traps
[19:11:44] <Avenger> the second point field is the position of Nordom :)
[19:18:13] <-- Avenger has left IRC (Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86 [Firefox 3.6.13/20101203075014])
[19:56:22] <CIA-29> GemRB: 03avenger_teambg * r824093c3a807 10ielister/ielister.cpp: updated pst maze structure
[20:50:36] <Lightkey> is it supposed to say "GemRB V0.6.3 git" in NEWS?
[21:03:44] <fuzzie> I think so, yes.
[21:05:44] <Lightkey> why? :-)
[21:26:43] <CIA-29> GemRB: 03avenger_teambg * r8d2f27eb3cd8 10gemrb/gemrb/ (4 files in 2 dirs):
[21:26:43] <CIA-29> GemRB: reading/writing pst maze data endian proof
[21:26:43] <CIA-29> GemRB: fixed msvc memory allocation too
[21:28:19] <tomprince> Lightkey: I think it is partly an artifact that v0.6.3 was brached before release and never merged.
[21:29:32] <fuzzie> We had this discussion at some point and I think no-one expressed much of an opinion either way.
[21:30:59] <fuzzie> But setting the version number to the *next* release seems to confuse people, since they're not actually running that one, and removing the version number is even more confusing. Or something. *flail*
[21:31:03] <fuzzie> But it's in the documentation I think.
[21:32:03] <tomprince> The issue is that 0.6.3 is released, but the NEWS file on trunk still refers to v0.6.3 git for the last release.
[21:32:24] <fuzzie> Yes.
[21:32:27] <fuzzie> But what *should* it be?
[21:32:31] <fuzzie> It was just plain 'git' before.
[21:32:53] <tomprince> Probably just v0.6.3, since it has been released.
[21:32:56] <fuzzie> And if you make it '0.6.4 git', then people say "oh, I'm running 0.6.4".
[21:33:10] <fuzzie> The NEWS is for the git release, though.
[21:33:25] <tomprince> No, there is a seperate git section for the next release.
[21:33:45] <fuzzie> hm
[21:34:00] <fuzzie> really?
[21:34:41] <fuzzie> hm, my local copy is corrupt, maybe?
[21:34:46] <tomprince> I made the same assumption as you, until I went and looked. :)
[21:35:03] <fuzzie> see f010f5cf
[21:35:15] <fuzzie> which I think is when we last had this discussion
[21:35:45] <fuzzie> but, right, i see, i am foolish
[21:35:59] <fuzzie> so it should say V0.6.3 git, but not where the version in trunk says that. :P
[21:36:13] <tomprince> 265905b201d0 is where the git should have been dropped for 0.6.3
[21:39:13] <fuzzie> well, i am too tired to work out what stupid thing i have done to my git branches
