[21:47:53] <Lightkey> lynxlynxlynx: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/the-ja2-stracciatella-game-engine-for-jagged-alliance-2-has-a-new-major-release.10991 :o
[21:50:06] <lynxlynxlynx> i mostly herd the cats
[21:51:03] <lynxlynxlynx> we're working on a history page now, since this (2016) is the third revival of the stracciatella project
[23:18:05] <Lightkey> hum.. I could try looking what Tron is up to now, last time I saw him was at the gate to his family's house after he was MIA, didn't get much out of him so I don't have high hopes..
[23:20:18] <lynxlynxlynx> he's around
[23:20:54] <Lightkey> wha
[23:20:54] <lynxlynxlynx> doesn't want to participate directly for some reason, but does some good code review now and then
[23:21:15] <lynxlynxlynx> this last revival could hardly go any better
[23:21:32] <lynxlynxlynx> i just spurred the flames and everyone jumped on board
[23:21:56] <Lightkey> so what about the licence matter of his changes then?
[23:22:02] <lynxlynxlynx> even edwin with who we tried to do a linux port 10 years ago
[23:22:18] <lynxlynxlynx> that's not clear
[23:22:26] <Lightkey> ..
[23:22:37] <lynxlynxlynx> i don't care much about it — the original license is garbage either way
[23:23:06] <lynxlynxlynx> also one of the reasons i don't feel like doing much coding there
[23:23:14] <Lightkey> as much as I'm inclined to agree, a licence is still better than no licence
[23:23:58] <lynxlynxlynx> completely new stuff is in separate directories, so things are slowly getting clearer as they get rewritten
[23:40:27] <-- lynxlynxlynx has left IRC (Ping timeout: 252 seconds)
