[20:17:48] <Yuv422> gimp is a bit funny about the palette. It tries to use the palette index of the first matching colour
[20:18:37] <Yuv422> I usually pic a completely new / unique color and put it in the 255 index then select that for the transparent background colour
[20:18:40] <wjp> for Exult image editing I used a subtly modified palette where all colours are unique
[20:18:40] <Malignant_Manor> It can just barely make out the color in game at night for the 7 and 8 when I do it but the highlights don't match anymore.

I just needed to show the down arrow if there was a page break and make scroll_down not change the position if we had a page break. That might break text with multiple breaks if someone scrolls up so I will have to check for examples.
