[00:05:29] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Colourless
[00:09:41] <Colourless> if i am not mistaken we do know everything about musicflx.txt
[00:11:38] <Colourless> i would suggest changing the musicprocess itself rather than putting stuff into GUIApp or somewhere else to handle the music... having it all in one place = good idea imo

[00:25:39] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to watt
[02:03:27] <watt> okie doke. Where did I leave off Tuesday
[02:29:36] <watt> hmm.. I don't think I _GET_ how other projects using sdl are doing their universal builds. Looks to me that many must be building completely different source trees using separate ppc & x86 fink or macports installs and lipo-ing the result
[02:30:16] <watt> but that seems.. well A) crazy and B) hard. I think I must be missing something
[04:43:25] <Colourless> are they using xcode?
[04:43:53] <watt> nope.
[04:44:19] <Colourless> hmm...
[04:44:41] <watt> Was using scummvm for reference
[04:44:43] <Colourless> recursive makes?
[06:47:22] <-- Darke2 has left IRC (Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer))
[07:07:39] --> Darke2 has joined #pentagram
[08:47:33] <wjp> Colourless: I was a bit hesitant about adding game logic to MusicProcess
[08:48:24] <wjp> but I guess I can keep it fairly limited
[08:50:58] <wjp> Colourless: I need one extra feature in MusicProcess
[08:52:13] <Colourless> uh oh
[08:58:00] <wjp> the victory fanfare needs to stop playing after a while to revert to normal combat music
[08:58:20] <wjp> so maybe a queue of length one?
[09:05:12] <Colourless> well we need to track the 'normal' music to the playing
[09:05:31] <wjp> that's already taken care of
[09:05:32] <Colourless> combat is overlayed on top of normal music, with fanfares being overlayed on top of those again
[09:05:52] <wjp> I do the following:
[09:06:01] <wjp> three functions: playMusic, playCombatMusic, restoreMusic
[09:06:05] <Colourless> fanfares should be a fire and forget operation?
[09:06:15] <wjp> playCombatMusic just directly calls MusicProcess::playMusic
[09:06:46] <wjp> playMusic stores the track number in lastRequestedTrack. It then checks if we're in combat. If no, it calls MP::playMusic.
[09:06:57] <wjp> restoreMusic calls MP::playMusic(lastRequestedTrack)
[09:08:16] <Colourless> been so long since i've looked at that code that I can't remember what it all does :-)
[09:08:31] <Colourless> but, can't talk much now. got dinner stuff to do
[09:08:58] <wjp> ok, I've got work stuff to do :-)

[20:32:01] <wjp> well, that should take care of combat music
[20:39:23] <watt> Am I screwing up line endings in Changelog or something else?
[20:39:47] <watt> oh... that last one was a type
[20:39:50] <watt> typo
[20:41:43] <wjp> yeah, nothing serious :-)
