[09:19:28] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Colourless
[09:57:43] <wjp> hi Colourless
[10:03:23] <sbx> hi Colourless
[10:23:54] <Lightkey> hi Colourless
[10:26:30] <servus> BLAH Colourless
[10:32:22] <Colourless> hi hi hi *glares*
[10:33:40] <Lightkey> you forgot one!
[10:33:57] <servus> The glare was my hi.
[11:28:40] <wjp> Colourless: one small issue with moving midi setting code to MidiDriver is that some settings don't have the same name in exult and pentagram
[11:28:59] <wjp> specifically win32_device (exult) vs. windows_midi_device (pentagram)
[11:30:06] <wjp> so if we want to keep both names, it'll still require some #ifdefs in WindowsMidiDriver
[11:40:02] <wjp> hm, scummvm added another mididriver: one based on fluidsynth ( http://www.fluidsynth.org/ )
[11:42:23] <wjp> ok, finished the shared config code in MidiDriver and removed the other pentagram-isms that were preventing exult from fully compiling
[11:50:07] <Colourless> i was thinking use something like this in exult
[11:50:20] <Colourless> audio/midi/*drivername*/*setting*
[11:50:37] <Colourless> and in pentagram that would become *drivername*_*setting*
[11:51:15] <Colourless> would then use a set of things in exult to auto convert the old settings to the new ones
[11:51:28] <wjp> as long as drivername is sufficiently short
[11:51:32] <Colourless> wouldn't care in pentagram it's not like much of anything is yet documented
[11:51:45] <Colourless> yeah just the 'windows' component
[11:51:53] <wjp> in pentagram I mostly care about the names making sense :-)
[11:55:12] <wjp> so the getConfigSetting should have a signature like (string driver, string key, string defaultval)
[11:55:44] <wjp> or we could put the driver string in the description struct
[11:58:56] <wjp> I'll commit what I have now for now, so that things are in sync and compile, at least
[11:59:16] <Colourless> i was thinking have the descripting string returned by a virtual function
[11:59:19] <Colourless> and use that
[12:02:56] <wjp> that's possible too
[12:12:49] <-- sbx has left IRC ()
[12:15:22] <wjp> megawatt: your subscription to the pentagram-cvs list has just been automatically disabled because of too many bounces
[12:31:10] <-- Colourless has left IRC ("casts improved invisibility")

[20:10:51] <megawatt> ahh crap. My ISP has really been sucking lately....I'm not suprised.. just disappointed
[20:16:13] <megawatt> Think I'll give it a day and a complaint to my ISP before attempting to re-enable it
[22:23:08] --> Kirben has joined #pentagram
[22:23:08] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Kirben
[22:36:09] --> Kazin has joined #pentagram
[22:36:46] <Kazin> how about a forum on pentagram website? ;)
[23:07:23] <megawatt> It might be getting close to time to have one. wjp, Colourless: Thoughts?
[23:09:23] <megawatt> or anyone?
