[09:13:28] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Colourless
[09:13:52] <Colourless> hi
[09:30:12] <watt> ello
[09:33:09] <watt> any feedback for the menus thus far? Changes you'd like to see?
[09:36:26] <Colourless> i.. haven't looked
[09:38:57] <watt> ok
[09:42:15] <watt> Though I was also thinking that bindings configs probably shouldn't be multi-tiered in the same way the rest of the config is.... use the user bindings only unless they don't exist... then use the default bindings and save them to the user bindings. Else there needs to be a way to cancel out the default bindings without binding them to something else (NullBinding?)
[09:42:45] <watt> err.. that came out longer than intended
[09:49:45] <Colourless> that wasn't very clear either
[09:54:50] <watt> hmmm... probably not, basically saying I don't want the default level bindings to get in the way of user level ones. Like if a user tries to unbind a key completely, the default binding to that key should not be used either
[10:25:25] <watt> didn't know mushrooms already work... that is waaaaay too trippy. Yay!
[11:43:27] <wjp> hi
[11:47:41] <Colourless> hi wjp
[11:52:18] <wjp> watt: why aren't you using (gump) shape 34 for the next/previous page buttons?
[12:12:23] --> sbx has joined #pentagram
[12:25:18] --> Cless has joined #Pentagram
[12:25:44] <-- Colourless has left IRC (Nick collision from services.)

[12:38:06] --> ElleVeeDee has joined #pentagram
[12:38:21] <ElleVeeDee> top o da mornin to ya
[12:38:56] <wjp> too late for that, but hi :-)
[12:40:19] <sbx> hello
[12:52:18] --> Darke has joined #pentagram
[12:53:13] * Darke bleahs. Binary only sata-raid kernel drivers suck.
[12:53:16] <Darke> Oh, hiya!
[12:54:14] <ElleVeeDee> y0
[12:54:24] <Colourless> :-)
[12:54:50] <Colourless> hi
[12:54:57] <wjp> hi Darke
[12:56:40] <sbx> hi
[12:56:40] <Colourless> note that binary only drivers seem to suck only for linux people :-)
[12:56:45] <wjp> maybe our standards are just higher ;-)
[12:56:45] <ElleVeeDee> you have standards?
[12:56:45] * ElleVeeDee giggles
[12:56:46] <Colourless> hehe. that is exactly the problem now isn't it :-)
[12:57:45] <wjp> oh, we have lots and lots of standards
[12:59:37] <Darke> Hrm? No, binary only kernel drivers suck under windows too. But under windows you just get a general 'windows drivers suck' rather then specifics, since I don't think I've ever installed a driver available in source form under windows. *grin*
[13:05:04] <Colourless> if a driver on windows sucks, then it will suck in source form too :-)
[13:05:20] <Colourless> example: Source of creative labs drivers will still suck!
[13:06:05] <Darke> Well... yes. But that's really a bit too much of an easy target though. *grin*
[13:08:48] * Colourless has an announcement... he has finally entered the 'new millenium' as far as internet access goes... he now has an ADSL connection :-)
[13:09:02] * Darke collapses in shock!
[13:09:06] <wjp> congrats :-)
[13:09:07] <sbx> congratulations
[13:09:15] <Colourless> :-)
[13:10:36] <Colourless> i've got 512/128. Not the fastest, but a shit heap better than what i had before :-)
[13:10:50] <wjp> that's what my ADSL was originally too
[13:11:15] <wjp> 2 years later it was 2048/320 without paying any more than at first
[13:11:28] <wjp> yay for competition :-)
[13:11:32] <Colourless> :-)
[13:11:45] <Colourless> this is fast enough for now

[17:41:53] <watt> oh.. hmmm didn't know what gump 34 was.. cool
[17:44:55] <wjp> oh, btw, could you mark or list any places where you hardcoded english strings to be displayed?
[17:45:46] <wjp> if you know any french/german/spanish, any translations would be appreciated as well :-)
[17:45:57] <wjp> (just in comments for now)
[21:21:00] <watt> there we go... Thinking if we want titles to the pages later, It might be cool to let the ControlsGump handle it with a title that is in a little separate gump floating above or below the book
