[21:18:43] <megaTherion> wjp: are you around? ^^
[21:19:24] <wjp> half
[21:20:15] <megaTherion> I've got a question about U8, Im wondering how the map/level definition is done..
[21:20:34] <megaTherion> I understand that it consists of objects taken from fixed or glob files - however what defines the maps in general?
[21:22:30] <wjp> it's basically a whole bunch of objects. Some of them can be grouped in predefined map sections called globs
[21:23:05] <wjp> but not sure what you mean by 'what defines the maps' exactly
[21:23:10] <megaTherion> but well, somewhere must come the definition from - lets say, level 1, size x,y has the objects {...}
[21:23:44] * megaTherion is absolutly not into game design ^^
[21:23:49] <megaTherion> maybe this is a very naive question but well
[21:24:06] <wjp> fixed.dat has (per map) a long list of objects and their coordinates
[21:24:31] <megaTherion> ah ok so the fixed.dat is the main definition for each level (or map)
[21:24:37] <wjp> yes
[21:24:46] <megaTherion> thanks ^^
