[21:28:08] <megawatt> hi guys
[21:29:35] <megawatt> So, back and thinking about pathfinding again. I think I want to attach a weighted graph to the CurrentMap and pathind against it.. this a good idea? possible? worth attempting this way?
[21:31:00] <SB-X> hi megawatt
[21:31:28] * megawatt waves
[21:38:00] <wjp> hi
[21:38:39] <wjp> in which way would it be different from the implicit graph we have now?
[21:42:10] <megawatt> speed for one I'd imagine... I'd also think about state... possibly make the weights change for paths taken more often by actors.
[21:42:32] <megawatt> like I said... not sure if its a great idea.
[21:43:21] <wjp> were you thinking of a global graph or one per actor?
[21:43:53] <megawatt> global.
[21:44:15] <megawatt> attached to the map and saved with it as well.
[21:44:34] <wjp> step length vary quite a bit between actors, though
[21:44:40] <wjp> s/th/ths/
[21:46:55] <megawatt> wouldn't be based on step lengths I'd imagine.. just a set distance. The actors can walk straight lines along the path... don't think it needs to be perfectly exact... so long as the actor is closer to the correct nod than any other surrounding it
[21:53:00] <megawatt> anyway.. I look into it a bit more tomorrow. let me know your thoughts until then.
[21:53:03] <megawatt> bye.
[21:54:06] <wjp> bye
[21:55:29] <SB-X> bye
