[03:24:22] --> watt has joined #pentagram
[03:24:38] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to watt
[03:26:34] <watt> yup, I'm totally switching to Gnome sometime in the future.. this time kmail decided that since it couldn't recieve mail from my pop3 server that it would never be reachable despite opening and closing kmail several times.. solved by restarting X
[03:27:11] <watt> that's way too annoying.
[03:30:27] --> Kirben has joined #pentagram
[03:30:27] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Kirben
[04:08:20] --> Colourless has joined #Pentagram
[04:08:26] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Colourless
[04:17:28] <-- watt has left IRC (burroughs.freenode.net irc.freenode.net)
[04:18:40] --> watt has joined #Pentagram
[08:05:45] <Jett> watt: Wierd. What version? I use kmail for 8 different pop accounts and have never encountered that problem.
[11:38:35] <-- Kirben has left IRC ("System Meltdown")
[13:27:08] <watt> Jett: 1.6.2 in kde 3.2.2
[13:30:20] <watt> There's definitely something wrong with my copy of KDE or something... a few weeks ago, it decided to trash all my settings.. I wasn't amused. My address book, email accounts information (not my mail thank god), and all my control center settings.
[13:34:23] <Jett> Ahh. I'm using 3.3.1. As I said, I don't recall ever having such an odd problem. And I regularly rebuild my versions of kde whilst I'm running it, so that's when I'd thought that would show up.
[13:34:42] <Colourless> fix: Use Windows! :-)
[13:35:22] * watt shreeks!
[13:36:55] <watt> Well, I guess I do tend to use windows simetimes, but not often, so many things I just don't like... mostly for instance the use of IE everywhere.
[13:38:34] <watt> or I should say... parts of it embedded in way too many applications
[13:39:46] * watt goes to work
[14:02:42] --> WattAtWork has joined #pentagram
[14:04:41] * WattAtWork can't seem to spell "sometimes".. eh, it way too early for me still
[14:29:00] --> Fl00der has joined #pentagram
[15:27:45] <-- Fl00der has left IRC ()
[17:07:11] <wjp> I'm starting to wonder if it was really a good idea to save DesktopGump, SavemapGump and the like...
[17:08:00] <Colourless> SavemapGump??
[17:08:18] <wjp> um, GamemapGump :-)
[17:09:02] <Colourless> probably don't need to save those
[17:09:50] <wjp> when we start to shuffle gumps to different 'virtual' gumps (depending on scaled-ness, invertability, etc) that would make savegames a lot easier
[17:10:25] <wjp> the gump loader would then just re-add parentless gumps to the proper layer
[18:56:56] <-- Jett has left IRC (Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer))

[22:55:09] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Kirben
[23:01:54] <wjp> yay!
[23:01:58] <wjp> I just got killed! :_)
[23:02:16] <wjp> that's usually bad, but in this case it means monsters can attack the avatar :-)
[23:05:09] <WattAtWork> YAY!
[23:05:21] <WattAtWork> and now I go to class.
[23:05:26] <-- WattAtWork has left #pentagram ()
[23:09:30] <wjp> news updated
[23:09:51] <wjp> (and combat stuff committed)
[23:13:38] <Fingolfin> hehe
[23:14:16] <wjp> I should probably put a delay after an attack...
[23:14:42] <wjp> they're really attacking like crazy
[23:15:49] <wjp> maybe let attack speed depend on dex like with exult
[23:16:33] <wjp> also need to figure out the 'special' attacks
[23:16:45] <wjp> like ghosts using fireballs
[23:18:04] * wjp looks at SF update email
[23:18:08] <wjp> subversion support? :-)
[23:18:16] <wjp> (planned for next year, that is)

[23:29:05] <wjp> inside info? :-)
[23:46:19] <wjp> time to go; night
