[01:41:11] <servus> wjp: How many times do you give the answer "That means it can't find your copy of U8"? You should just make more descriptive error messages, unless you really enjoy the extra attention *grin*
[03:00:35] --- Cless|sleep is now known as Colourless

[09:01:41] <wjp> servus: it's a bit of a problem with the current architecture
[09:01:53] <wjp> it tries to auto-detect which game is in a directory
[09:02:06] <wjp> and it can choose between U8 and one of the crusaders
[09:02:40] <wjp> so it can't really say "Can't find U8", because it doesn't know it's supposed to be looking for U8 specifically
[09:03:23] <wjp> of course we'll fix this eventually :-)
[09:04:26] <wjp> maybe a simple "no installed game found in 'directory'" message would suffice for now
[09:26:34] <-- Darke has left IRC (Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer))

[17:14:59] <wjp> hm, about time to break savegames again I think :-)
[17:15:50] --> sbx has joined #pentagram
[18:43:35] <wjp> um, oops
[18:43:49] <wjp> I think I accidentally gave turning a negative cost in the pathfinder sometimes :-)
[18:44:02] <wjp> no wonder it sometimes finds very creative paths instead of walking straight at the target :-)
[19:10:00] <wjp> well... the quality of the paths found is much better now, but it's also using many more nodes to find them
[19:10:16] <wjp> strange... I was hoping the 'straight' paths would be found without much sidetracking
[19:44:23] <wjp> ok, better now
