[06:25:04] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Dominus
[07:43:19] <Dominus> Colourless, does the stdout and stderr to pstdout.txt and pstderr.txt actually work? Or does that need to be enabled specifically? By default I cannot find these files on Windows
[07:43:49] <Dominus> pentagram.cpp line 153 and following
[08:24:51] <Dominus> or does it need to be enabled in the console (or an if windows in cosole.cpp)?
[08:27:26] <Colourless> should work fine. will only appear in a windows subsystem build. If there is a console window, it wont even fire
[08:29:44] <Dominus> so could it be that since the console pops up at the beginning for a few seconds that the files are not getting created?
[08:30:06] <Colourless> ya
[08:30:46] <Colourless> i've got it setup so for debug builds have a console windows and release builds do not
[08:31:21] <Dominus> ah, that explains it. AFAIK the Windows snapshots are debug ones
[08:32:42] <Dominus> so either Kirben needs to do non-debug builds or that stderr/out needs to be untied from the console or the console window creation needs its own configure option
[08:37:09] <Colourless> easy enough to change things to stderr/out can be redirected always
[08:38:08] --> Dominus1 has joined #pentagram
[08:39:46] <Colourless> if you didn't see it:

[15:44:22] <Dominus1> Colourless, sorry, I was gone for a *bit* :)
[15:45:34] <Dominus1> how and/or where can we change it to always redirect them? And can you then still see the console messages when you open the console? Maybe instead of redirect a copy?
[15:47:02] <Dominus1> I think this would be useful for the Windows build, I'm not the first one to notice it missing
