[01:32:12] --> watt has joined #pentagram
[01:32:30] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to watt
[01:32:36] * watt waves.
[01:33:45] <watt> I got the change to make ctrl + a key to be ignored by the console and be used for normal keybinds
[01:34:15] <watt> although it also affects any textmode gump
[01:34:27] <watt> which I think is all modal gumps
[01:34:31] <watt> :-(
[03:32:15] <Colourless> but but but ctrl-v is useful in console.. Clipboard Paste!
[03:32:30] <Colourless> that should be picked up by the text input stuff though IIRC
[04:26:32] <-- servus has left IRC (":wq")

[04:46:45] --> Kohlrabi has joined #pentagram
[05:19:17] <-- Kohlrabi has left IRC ("Fast alle Menschen sind Regenw├╝rmer")
[05:21:05] <watt> oh, that still works fine - I'm leaving that special
[05:23:39] <watt> besides, I'm still not sure it's an entirely good idea to have ctrl be a way out. Perhaps not intuitive.
[05:24:34] <watt> It might be better to standardize on escape closing modal gumps and simply pout that when bringing down the console window.
[05:26:23] <watt> or even go the route most MMOs go - a single command on a console an then have the console lose focus - but that's not likely.
[05:38:16] <watt> even more - we still probably want the ability to bring up the console when another modal gump is already up.
[05:40:38] <watt> almost seems like the best answer may be not allowing the console toggle to be bound at all and assume it should always be attached to certain keys
[05:40:50] <watt> my head hurts. I'm gonna sleep now.

[22:52:13] --- ChanServ gives channel operator status to Colourless
[22:59:44] <Colourless> you know you could just have all the binds always active and flag the commands not in modal?
[23:00:05] <Colourless> and perhaps give the modal gump first chance at intercepting the keys
[23:57:54] --- LordNAway is now known as Lord_Nightmare
