[09:23:06] <wjp> (640x480 instead of 320x200)
[09:24:16] <wjp> so the sort and paint phases of the rendering process should be around 4 to 16 times as fast
[09:24:28] <wjp> (scaling might slow things down again, but scaling is optional of course)
[09:49:42] <wjp> some numbers:
[09:50:15] <wjp> on an Athlon 900, in 640x480 I get ~30fps
[09:50:20] <wjp> in 320x200 I get ~140fps
[09:50:27] <wjp> (sort and paint are both 1-3ms)
[10:07:54] <wjp> hm, sort 1, paint 1-2 in fact
[10:08:08] <wjp> (and over an ssh tunnel I get 6fps in 320x200 :-) )
