[15:08:56] <Colourless> the DMs sometimes like to have 'fun' with the players. Was out with a bunch of people once resting before a fight with a dragon. Eveyone buffed up and all of a sudden all these creatures started spawning in

[15:11:22] <Colourless> oh... you know you want too. Need a good server though I guess. Game also isn't exactly stable and can lag really bad
[15:12:11] <Colourless> lagging is in general not caused by a saturated connection, but the server being overloaded
[15:13:52] <Colourless> the other day my character joined a gang whos main goal is to take over the entire world... And today we went on a DM run quest. At the end of it my allignment got shifted 4 points towards evil :-)

[15:16:47] <Colourless> it's a role playing server and since the character isn't really supposed to be evil (just chaotic) i didn't choose evil... but if my associations and actions take me that way... oh well :-)

[15:58:31] <Colourless> there are a number of specifcic rules that you must follow.
[15:58:56] <Colourless> if a DM causes your death, you'll get raised for not experience loss
[15:59:50] <Colourless> and PvP is strictly not allowed unless both parties agree to it, or a DM has sanctioned it

[16:07:04] <Colourless> the servers are hosted by my isp (most useful) and are administrated by volunteers. The servers run a custom module

[16:13:52] <Colourless> NWN engine wasn't really designed for persistant worlds
[16:14:11] <Colourless> people just figured out how to make them :-)
[16:15:31] <sbx> so there is some kind of mod that allows them to add more players and save data between resets
