[17:27:54] <RED_MGR> hi
[17:28:35] <wjp> hi
[17:28:58] <RED_MGR> i have a question reg. uwadv on linux
[17:30:03] <wjp> yes?
[17:30:09] <RED_MGR> it's the "white screen" with voodoo topic :)
[17:30:26] <RED_MGR> the game starts well but i cannot create a character
[17:31:02] <RED_MGR> sys: P-III/500 with AGP-Voodoo3, gentoo-linux
[17:31:21] <RED_MGR> 3D accel usually runs fine
[17:32:01] <wjp> vividos is currently overhauling the entire source tree, so things don't compile&link currently, so I can't really check to see what happens when creating a character
[17:32:34] <RED_MGR> hmmm... ok
[17:32:47] <wjp> there's already a bugreport about this in the bug tracker I see, so we won't forget about it
[17:32:59] <wjp> (in fact it's the only bug report there :-) )
[17:33:03] <RED_MGR> yes, i saw that
[17:33:33] <wjp> if you want you can add a comment with your system specs saying that you have the same problem
[17:33:41] <RED_MGR> i will
[17:33:45] <wjp> brb
[17:34:19] <RED_MGR> i did a source compilation with release 0.8, it did went well (i fixed the wrllexer issue manually)
[17:35:10] <RED_MGR> i also tested the win-binary 0.8 on a different machine (cel-400, voodoo banshee pci) on win98se, and it did work!
[17:35:34] <RED_MGR> well, it wasn't that fast (1 FPS ;o) ), but it did run
[17:38:24] <RED_MGR> anyway, i will check again later...
[17:38:30] <RED_MGR> thank you!
[17:44:15] <wjp> eh, 1fps?
[17:44:35] <RED_MGR> yes :o)
[17:45:09] <RED_MGR> maybe it's because of low-memory (128MB)
[17:49:16] <wjp> are you sure opengl is properly accelerated?
[17:49:20] <RED_MGR> irc-noobie question: what does "brb" stand for?
[17:49:24] <wjp> be right back
[17:49:35] <RED_MGR> ah, then i was right, sorry :)
[17:50:47] <wjp> sorry for what?
[17:50:49] <RED_MGR> i thought of opengl-accel afterwards, but right now i cannot check it (never disturb win98 when it's burning cds...)
[17:51:13] <RED_MGR> sorry for asking stupid noobie questions :)
[17:52:11] <wjp> ah, no problem, in that case :-)
[17:55:19] <RED_MGR> guess it's my turn now: brb :)
[18:27:35] <RED_MGR> i am investigating the win98 opengl thing...
[18:54:57] <-- wjp has left IRC ("bbl")
[18:57:02] <-- RED_MGR has left IRC ("using sirc version 2.211+KSIRC/1.2.4")
